Our Courses

NSSO 2025: April 14th – 18th (Academy); April 12th – 18th (Sinfonia); July 6th – 12th (Philharmonic)

The courses are divided into three orchestras that are broadly distinguished by playing ability, with some overlap across the three, and we offer successful applicants a place in the ensemble where we feel they will be best equipped to take part effectively, successfully and happily.

Standards indicated are for guidance only – you do not need to have taken the particular examinations to apply; a video recording of you playing is sufficient.

New for 2025: we are delighted to be launching an international option for players from overseas who wish to join NSSO. Please click here for further information.
