David combines flourishing careers as a Conductor, Pedagogue, and Presenter, with a long established career as an orchestral trumpeter.
He made his Royal Opera House conducting debut with the world premier production of Pinocchio in 2006, following that with Will Tuckett’s Wind in the Willows and Cathy Marston’s Ghosts. Since then David has directed both the ROH Orchestra, and South Bank Sinfonia in ROH Chance to Dance productions of Firebird, Still Life at the Penguin Café, Swan Lake and La Fille mal Garde. David has also guest conducted productions of Giselle and Nutcracker at English National Ballet, and led the BBC Concert Orchestra’s Music Mix concerts.
